Bear in the Cupboard

I recently decided to go vintage clothes shopping. One of my friends said she knew of a great little vintage shop near Liverpool Street in London, which was reasonable.
I must admit I was a little sceptical, because as soon as anyone mentions vintage I think EXPENSIVE! However, I was pleasantly surprised.
It wasn’t a tiny little shop with no prices on the clothes and full of over the top fashionistas. Instead, it was almost like a jumble sale. I know a jumble sale doesn’t sound good, but it was nice to look through loads of different varieties of products at all different prices.
I managed to find a neck scarf, with a white and blue oriental pattern, a blue dress and the best buy of the day a jade green dress. Now this particular dress did not fit very well, but the skirt part had such beautiful detail I could not leave it. In total I spent £40 for all three!
The next step for the jade green dress was to make it into a skirt, which I have done and can now wear it knowing full well no one else will be in it!
Vintage shopping is now a must for me, bargains can be found so I recommend to anyone!
